Supplemental Events treat Georgians better than Regular Events
WICHITA, KS: For individuals who do not break in their respective event, the National Forensic League offers Supplemental and Consolation Events. These include: Prose Poetry, Impromptu, Extemporaneous Commentary, Expository, and Storytelling. The events have two preliminary rounds and then the cuts begin.
In Prose and Poetry, Zack Vandever from Alpharetta HS reached the third round. Zack is coached by David Gay.
In Extemporaneous Commentary, two individuals reached the third round. Henry W. Grady HS [Damarius Walker] and Starr’s Mill HS [Patrick Kagi] were eliminated after Round 3. Patrick is coached by Sean Bennett and Damarius is coached by Mario Herrera. Congratulations guys!
However, in the regular events, there was no individual from the state of Georgia who broke to elimination rounds- however several fared well. Seven schools participated in six different events.
