A New Chapter for Georgia Debate

KENNESAW, GA: Debate followers across the state and the nation should remember August 13, 2007. Why? Today is the day that Georgia Debate will open a new chapter. The purpose of Georgia Forensics Daily is to improve the already fantastic Georgia Debate community. The website will allow teams from all over the state to access the same amount of information no matter what their size is.

The website coverage will cover all the GFCA sanctioned tournaments this year – ranging all across the state. We’ll be traveling and visiting almost [if not all] the tournaments. We’re excited to begin our Inaugural tournament coverage at Fayette County in two weekends. Before the tournament, we will be posting Field Reports in all divisions and possibly judging pools. This will allow debaters across the state to know what to expect from the tournament. During the tournament the website will feature LIVE reports from the Tab Room, GFCA Meetings, and COMPLETE coverage of elimination rounds. This feature allows schools that couldn’t travel to the tournament to still feel a part of the community even on an off weekend.

This date marks a new beginning for Georgia debate! The site is dedicated to those who built Georgia Debate to where it is today! The endeavors of Brandon, Kelly, and I would be nothing without people like Sandra Silvers, Bruce Rogers, Chris Wheatley, Richard Bracknell, and many more phenomenal coaches. They have built Georgia Debate to what it is and as a current Assistant Coach and future Head Coach, I promise to continue the excellence they’ve started!
