Inman: Calhoun Middle wins the Varsity division!

ATLANTA, GA: Our Middle School coverage has been launched this past weekend by reoccuring Guest Correspondent Judge Lane Bearden. We are hoping to grow our Middle School coverage. The next tournament we will cover is February 9.

In the Varsity MS divison, Calhoun’s team of Emily Lance and Seth Johnson won. They are coached by Lane Bearden. They are undefeated all year and have yet to lose a prelim round!

Runner Up:

(2) Arbor (Leah Nugent & Caroline Courtney),

(3) Arbor (Eric Gramlich & Josh Cetron)

(4) Carson (DeAngelo Bowie & Chris Howard), Arbor (Shannon Setilli & Paula Cheng).

Arbor Middle School’s Cetron was top speaker.

Even without the Emory debaters coming to judge (they are still on winter break), there were some very qualified judges from the high school ranks who took the weekend off to work with the next generation (Karlson, Thigpen and others from Stratford, Jennifer Armstrong from Pace, Bree Gray-Jordon and Minh Lam from Grady, among others).
