Job Opening: Pace Academy
Shunta Jordan just posted a job opening on the College listserv.
Pace Academy in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking applicants to fill a debate
coaching position for the 2008-2009 school year and longer if preferred.
The short description of the job is posted below. You will do a great deal

Pace Academy Debate Position
Teaches two sections of debate discovery classes (two per semester).
Prepares course objectives and outline for course of study in conjunction
with other faculty following curriculum guidelines or requirements of
state and school. Assists Director of Debate in practices, tournaments,
and with travel. May perform related duties such as sponsoring one or more
activities or student organizations, or coaching.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Demonstrated success teaching speech communication and debate, at either
the middle or high school level desired.
Demonstrated successful coaching experience in speech and debate
competition desired.
Must be available to attend after school practices and day-long
tournaments.
Must be available to travel extensively during the school year
