Loquitur Podcast on Hiatus, Founder Moves to New Project
Mahesha Subbaraman of Trinity Briefs has announced the suspension of Loquitur, a joint venture of his firm and us at Georgia Forensics. After long discussions over this summer, we decided it was best to part ways and support his new endeavor (which are are providing some tech support for), The American Debater (TAD).
He writes as to the mission of TAD:
- To raise public awareness of and support for high school debate by making it truly accessible to all interested parties — this includes not just current debaters and coaches, but also parents, forensics alumni, teachers, school administrators, sponsors, and general fans of the activity.
- To provide a truly national perspective of high school debate, allowing readers to learn about how the activity is being practiced in every part of the country — from Washington to California to Maine to Missouri. To ensure that all parts of the country have a voice in deciding the future of speech/debate, and that all schools/teams — no matter how big or small — get the credit they deserve.
While we are sad to see the podcast go, and as we undergo our own redevelopement (which will be more community oriented), we are excited to see other voices come to represent our community on the web.
