Calhoun: Milton BL wins the Sandra Silvers Cup!
Judge Bearden, Ed Williams, and I stayed in Calhoun extra long to adjudicate the finals round between Megan Cambre and Richie Choy of Chattahoochee versus Ken Bailey and Austin Layton of Milton.
The Alpharetta showdown began with the coin flip. Milton chose to affirm the resolution. They affirmed by increasing loan guarantees for nuclear power. Chattahoochee believed that the States could solve better, so that way McCain would not get credit for the plan and be elected.
The end of the round came down to the evaluation of uniform State action being legit or illegit. On a 2-1 decision (Judge Bearden dissenting), the affirmative team from Milton High School won the Sandra Silvers Cup.
Congratulations to both teams!
