There are some great comments about the topics from some debate experts on the cross-x thread: http://www.cross-x.com/vb/showthread.php?p=1743...

Jim Schultz (West Ga), Aaron Vinson (GBN Alum), Tim Alderete (Meadows), and more have all weighed in on the possible topics.

Mine were the same as Jeff, but this is pre-topic papers coming out. My hesitancy with China is that it was a college topic a few years ago. And Latin America hasn't been a topic in a LONNNNGGG time.
  • 1. UN - It's something different
    2. China
    3. Overseas
    4. Latin America

Russia shouldn't even be a choice.

    My initial rankings:

    1. Latin America
    2. China
    3. Overseas Deployment
    4. Russia
    5. UN

I'll provide more thoughts when I really start to think about the topics- and maybe read the topic papers.

Nope, I think my USFG fetish is too strong.

Plus I think that the UN is a failed institution, although it'd be interesting to see everyone start from square 1. UN Politics would be interesting.
  • UN as #5? I think it's time for a topic that didn't focus on the USFG.
  • Or maybe not.
