Chattahoochee wins JV State; Marist wins Novice State
There were two policy divisions at the GFCA – Junior Varsity and Novice.

Fayette County wins LD State Championship; Pope wins PF State Championship!
This past weekend the GFCA held their State Championships for all divisions but Varsity Policy. We are here to report the results for the debate divisions.
In Lincoln Douglas, Fayette County’s Eric Bogert defeated Alpharetta’s Jeff Simard on a 2-1 decision to be named the 2009 LD State Champion. He was the 2008 State Runner Up. [...]
Dunwoody wins Packet Novice State Championship!
The other novice division was very competitive and used the GFCA Novice packet to debate. In the Championship round, Dunwoody GG defeated Lakeside Atlanta HR.

Chattahoochee wins JV and Open Novice State Championships!
Big congralations to Luke Hill and James Herndon for winning Novice, JV, and Varsity State championships!
The JV team of Kaavya Ramesh and Joshua Lee were the first seed and eventual State champions! However, Chattahoochee had the other three semifinalists – closing out the tournament in semis.

GFCA State: Pace Academy wins LD State Championship!
Pace Academy’s Michael Melia definitely took out the competition this weekend by not dropping a single ballot all weekend. In the final round, he defeated the 7th seed Fayette County EB [Eric Bogert] on a 3-0 decision.
He’s coached by Shunta Jordan. Eric is coached by Jeffrey Miller.
