Public Forum: 2009 September Resolution Released

The National Forensic League has released the first Public Forum resolution of the 2009- 2010 season:
Resolved: United States policy on illegal immigration should focus on attrition through enforcement rather than amnesty.


2009 NFL Nationals Lincoln-Douglas and Public Forum Resolutions

The NFL released the 2009 National Tournament Topics today in Lincoln-Douglas, Public Forum, and Storytelling. In storytelling, the NFL has abandoned one set topic, and “to allow for maximum levels of creativity this year” will allow any appropriate topic to be used.


March 2009 Public Forum Resolution – No Child Left Behind

The National Forensics League released the March Public Forum resolution this morning:
Resolved: That on balance, the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 has improved academic achievement in the United States.


Trinity Prep, Westminster, Ransom Everglades Win Barkley Forum

The 54th Annual Barkley Forum for High Schools has concluded and congrats to the champions of the debate divisions, who win keys taken from a mold of the key General Sherman carried during his march to the sea:
In Policy Debate, Westminster SJ (Anshu Sathian & Rajesh Jegadeesh) took home the Silver Key.

Lexington Winter Classic Registration Open

Lexington High School’s coach Sara Sanchez released the tournament invitation, as well as opened registration for their “Big Lex”, known to most of the country as the Lexington Winter Classic. 
Date: January 16 – 19, 2009
Registration: Tabroom Online. Fees and registrations freeze January 2nd (drops, but not adds, will be permitted until the day of the tournament).
